Akiş REIT Win Two Awards From Gyoder

Akiş REIT, a subsidiary of Akkök Holding operating in the real estate sector, is honoured to receive awards in two different categories at the REIT Awards, a first in the sector, organized by GYODER to encourage and honor real estate investment funds and to raise awareness at the same time, at the 17th Real Estate Summit organized by GYODER, one of Turkey’s leading real estate platforms. Akiş REIT was awarded the GYODER Social Contribution and GYODER Contribution to Sustainability awards for its contributions to the real estate sector, society and sustainability.

Akiş REIT, a subsidiary of Akkök Holding operating in the real estate sector, which is positioned among its strategic business sectors, continues its projects that add value to the sector without slowing down. Akiş REIT, which prioritizes the needs and demands of the society and positions sustainability among its most important company policies, received the GYODER Social Contribution and GYODER Contribution to Sustainability awards, which are given by GYODER to reward the projects that support the development of the real estate sector by strengthening the perception of the real estate sector with the actions it has taken under these headings.

Contribution to the development of social skills
“BİZ1İZ” Shopping Centers Service Employee Training and Development Program, implemented under the leadership of Akiş REIT with EBRD Technical support and AYD, Direm Ideas Workshop, and TAMPF business partners, was deemed worthy of the 2022 GYODER Community Contribution Award. With the program, which Akiş REIT implemented in order to apply its understanding of continuous learning and development in a wide ecosystem ranging from its employees to subcontractor service employees, it is intended to improve the social and business skills of subcontracted employees.

The only REIT present in the BIST Sustainability Index
Considering sustainability as one of its main agenda items and focusing on developing environmentally and socially sensitive, innovation and digitalization-oriented practices, Akiş REIT was also found eligible for inclusion in the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index in 2022. Akiş REIT, the only REIT present in the BIST Sustainability Index, crowned its efforts in this field in accordance with the criteria set by GYODER, with the 2022 GYODER Contribution to Sustainability Award.
